Lethal Injektion
Lethal Injektion, the AZ Nu-Metal sensation, exploded onto the scene in January of 2016.
Jacob Ryan, a successful independent rap artist, aka The Raskal, won ‘West Coast Artist Of The Year’ at The Underground Music Awards in New York, December 2015. The Raskal has been featured in The Source, allhiphop.com, World Star Hip Hop, and more.
Jonathan Russell is best known as the vocalist for Stands With Fists. Stands With Fists garnered independent success while joining the roster of huge events such as Knotfest, KFMA’s Fall Ball, and more.
Jacob reached out to Jonathan with an idea and concept that had never been attempted in Tucson; A fusion of hardcore, passionate hip hop vocals, blended with high energy, aggressive metal tones and rhythms. The one thing missing was a band to bring everything together. Using his deep connections in the Tucson metal scene, Jonathan rounded out this new ‘supergroup’ with guitarists Lawrence McIntyre & Jesse Espich, drummer James Ringstrom, and bassist Bobby Hutchinson. Together, Lethal Injektion hone a unique yet marketable sound with Jonathan’s wide vocal range and dynamic melodies, paired with Jacob’s distinct voice, gritty and clever rhymes, all held up by a powerhouse band.
Their debut single “Strength Through Struggle” was a success. A follow up single, “Voices”, and their first music video was released January 15, 2016. Following two successful single releases, Lethal Injektion unveiled the studio EP, “Sex Is Power” which made an immediate impact, charting at #8 on ITunes for new releases in the Rock genre. The EP held the #1 position for new alternative metal release on Amazon for 2 weeks. The band’s debut, full length album, “Sex Money Power”, was released on July 22, 2016 and exceeded expectations. With the release, Lethal Injektion nabbed another #1 slot on Amazon charts, and climbed to #4 in Rock on ITunes. Their sophomore LP, “Judgement Night”, was released on September 15, 2017 and reached #6 on ITunes. With over 3 million views on YouTube and 600,000 streams on Spotify, Arizona’s own Lethal Injektion continues to gain solid momentum.
